      Coordinate Geometry

      Straight lines – slope, equations, parallel and perpendicular lines

      Functions and graphing

      Quadratic functions and equations, the Quadratic Formula

      Solving inequalities

      Trigonometry

      Exponents and logarithms

Requirements for course:

     Class attendance and homework assignments

     5 tests –Wednesdays, Sept. 12, Oct. 3, Oct. 24, Nov. 7, Nov. 28

     Final examination – week of Dec. 10, date and time scheduled by Registrar’s office

Test policy:

There will be 5 full period (50 min.) in class tests on the dates listed above.  There are NO MAKE-UPS for these tests unless for documented illness.

Calculator policy:

You will NOT be allowed to use graphing calculators or cell-phones during the tests and final exam.

A scientific calculator (like the TI-30Xa or Casio FX-260) or a simple function calculator (add, sub, mult, div, square roots, etc.) is permitted.
