Research Experience
 (PSY 4025)

Note: Before considering me as your Research Experience advisor, you should consider the following:

1. My research interests are in social psychology

  • violence and aggression (narcissism, videogames, deindividuation)
  • stereotyping (stereotype activation, implicit attitudes, and intergroup processes)
  • social influence (destructive cults, compliance techniques, subliminal persuasion)
  • social cognition (self-awareness, false consensus effect, self fulfilling prophecy)

2. Some examples of past projects I supervised include:

  • video games and hostile attribution bias

  • narcissism and road rage

  • subliminal advertising

  • effects of overhearing racial slurs

  • race and helping behavior
